An Update from Tricia

Tricia asked me to write this post for her (it's Tasha).

Tricia has been at the hospice for a while and so if you haven't heard much from her, you'll know why.  She still needs a lot of quiet time, so if you feel like communicating with her, posting to her blog is best.  Marie is with her much of the time and will read the messages to her when she's up for it.

Thank you for all of your positive thoughts!

Tricia, you are always in my thoughts. Whenever Aaron and I travel anywhere I think of you and all your amazing trips, especially Maui. We always make it a point to stop by Nick’s Fishmarket for happy hour to watch the sunset, just as you recommended. :) You are such a beautiful person inside and out. Sending our love ❤️

I remember the first time I met you, Tricia. I saw your scars and wondered what hell you'd been through. You were so smart and confident and, put quite simply, you knew your shit. I appreciated that about you immediately. That you could be relied upon, trusted for your knowledge and wisdom, even if only about accounting (since that was the shallow realm of our shared experience at that time). And now I see all of you. Due to recent events in my daughter's life, I understand more of you. No matter what angle you are viewed, the result is the same. You are a gorgeous warrior, talented and capable in everything you do. A woman to be reckoned with, respected, admired, and loved. And you are all of those things, especially loved. xoxo Julie Frayn

Tricia, I hope and pray that your time at the hospice is peaceful and comforting. None of us can know exactly the path you've walked, but you've had many walking by your side. I'm constantly impressed by the comments so many friends have left, talking about the impact you've had on their lives.

Our time together was in high school, particularly in band and at band camp at Fort San. I hope those memories make you smile, as they make me smile. You were a joy to spend time with. I hope that the love of music has stayed with you all these years, and that it continues to bring you happiness and joy.

Thinking of you fondly,
Lisa Rushka

Dear Tricia,

I have been following your journey as well and like all of your family and friends have been in awe of your strength, resilience and seemingly positive outlook on life even with all of the challenges you have faced. You for sure have been a catalyst for me to sit back and take stock about the things that really matter most in life.

I have fond memories of you and Carla both working at the t-shirt shop in Southland Mall while I was making drinks at Orange Julius :-).

You have always have been such a warm, kind hearted and happy individual. Always smiling and laughing.

Thinking of you and your loved ones - xo

I can't help but think of all the people who's lives you have touched. I barely knew you, but heard about what a wonderful person you are to Tasha, long before I ever met you (which may have only been once). If anyone embodies a live well lived, and being in the service others, it is you. You have left a mark in this world that will shine forever.

I don’t really know what to say other then I’m so grateful to have met you and had the pleasure of doing your hair. You are an amazing lady and I always enjoyed seeing your name in the book knowing we where going to have great chat about whatever...movies, traveling, dating sites, family and friends...You always left me with a smile on my face.

Hey girl! Just woke from a fantastical dream... you were preparing for a long journey, and left me your art studio to look after. However you had hosted annual fundraiser galas at this art studio which Oprah had attended, so the pressure was really on to keep up with you. We laughed a lot, you were ready for your new path ahead... Oh me and my brain and how it works!🙀 LOL

Needless to say I think of you daily. When I found out the new season of survivor has both Boston Rob AND Sandra returning... thought of you. Read an article on coachella fashion trends... thought of you. Making plans for my family trip to Maui in a few weeks... thought of you. Chris declared BUTTER was his secret sauce in his homemade noodle dish... thought of you. The potato heads in the new toy story movie... thought of you. Random daily staring out at the nature surrounding me... thought of you. Had a lady bug flying around the living room... well, I thought of Ryan, then of you living at his old pad.

More seriously though, pretty much my whole life I have thought daily of the current path you are on and I am so thankful for your inspiring and honest approach to it all. As the old movie says, 'you can't take it with you'... meaning money & tactile stuff. However it's the love that surrounds you and encompasses all you are that will always be here and be with you. Thank you for continuing to pop up in my random thoughts every day. I suspect this will happen in perpetuity and for that I am grateful. Enjoy your pad, and your bubble of love...
xo,
Amanda

Tricia, you are an amazing artist far beyond your paintbrush and pen. Your spirit, creativity, courage, and kindness have touched the lives of so many, leaving your impression on their canvasses in beautiful ways.

Looking at my canvas, one would find your touch in the light playful swirls of childhood games, the strong dark strokes of determination through adversity, and the bright bold shapes of trying new things to toast life. Thank you for adding to my life’s canvas.

Love,
Heather

Hi Tricia, as I drove home from work today in heavier traffic than usual, I used some of my idle time to admire the trees.

There was one tree in particular that I noticed.... It had obviously weathered the latest storm we had here. It had a few broken branches, was missing some of its leaves and just looked like it fought to stay rooted. But yet the leaves still on the tree were beautiful and green, welcoming the rain that was falling and waiting to soak up the sun that was trying to peek through the clouds.

I thought of you and smiled. The beauty, the love and the life that you spread to your bubble every day means so much to all of us. You continue to teach us how to soak it all in and appreciate the lives that we are fortunate to share with our own bubbles.

Love you and sending you a big hug 🥰

Cheers, Sonia

Tricia,
I don't think I can do justice to all of the beautiful comments already made.
You, your friends and family are all such an inspiration. What a privilege it is to be a part of your lives. I've been reflecting on our time in Stamford, "lighting the night" on the Brooklyn Bridge, brief encounters in London and other glittering moments over the past 13 years where your astounding strength and resilience have always shone through to the extent that people routinely forget about the burden you carry and love you for the joy and positivity you exude. Thank you all again for helping us to stop and appreciate the most important things.

Hi Tricia. I was thinking of you this morning. I was singing along to some tunes which reminded me of Singstar sessions with you and Tasha. The first time I heard your beautiful voice, I knew who the singstar champ would be! 🙂 Given the quality of my own voice I don't often sing in front of others, but we always had so much fun belting out tunes, enjoying the music, the laughter and each other. So this morning I belt out tunes, singing, dancing and thinking of you....along with Mike who joined in for some ABBA. Sending music notes of love your way🎼🎶💞🎶💗
We both send you a big hug.
Love,
Mireille and Mike xoxo
