Another Change

Since the wonderful 21 night, I have had some changes to my health that I wanted to share.  The recent MRI showed that things continued to get a bit worse in my brain and treatment options are changing and potentially even becoming more limited.  I started a new chemotherapy combination this week which is different and I am figuring it all out right now.  I may or may not end up doing radiation as well and will likely not know until next week.  So lots of unknowns right now.  If you don't hear from me, I am just navigating remarkably a new set of issues.

What I ask from you is to be patient with me and if possible, please continue to explore 21, as that will give me strength and I would really appreciate it.

💌Dear Tricia,

These latest MRI results must be a cruel dose of reality🥊 after your June 21st night of sharing life experiences🎢, insights🎭 and interactions 💞 with your ‘people’. What a terrible affront this is you!🙎🏻‍♀️ What humbles us most is that you are already navigating a whole ‘new set of issues’ 🤹🏻‍♀️ in your thirst for more of those moments you have challenged researchers and front-line workers to provide for cancer patients and their families🏝. By considering different treatment options,👨‍🔬 your medical team seems willing to step into the unknown with you and ‘figure it all out’. 👣

🌎We were not in Calgary for the wonderful 21 night🎉, but we have had the privilege of watching the video together💻, reflecting on your unique journey 🗽 and putting the feelings you express into the context of our own lives🏡. The moment-by-moment format allows us to revisit certain topics 🌻 and to use them as points for reflection and personal growth🌱. Your visuals🖼 and writings📝 have the power to touch others in unexpected and healing ways🎈. We cannot thank you enough for putting yourself out there - with 💃and without🥔 all your parts.

⏳We will be as patient as you need us to be, Tricia💙. Your candle of hope 🕯is still burning brightly in our St. Andrews home🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿.

💕Love you lots,
Louise and David🙏🏼

Dear Tricia,
We are sorry to hear about your latest health changes. You have our thoughts, love, and prayers with you at this time.

I often visit you on 21, and I also have the set of postcards that I can look at, read, and reflect on. All of it is extremely powerful. The event itself was incredible and beyond description. Your strong presence was at every station, and touched our minds and hearts. Thank you.

You astonish and amaze us at every turn in your journey. We love you.

👋It’s us again, Tricia...

👩‍💻When I read Mary Ellen and Bob’s comment about having a set of postcards from your June 21 night of celebration🎉, I did a bit of searching to see if David and I could order a bundle for ourselves📬. Sure enough, Tasha forwarded my email 📧 to the Regional Director (Lauren) of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society where a lady named Lucy processed my order📝. The postcards are now on their way to us in Scotland.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

You probably already know how much we like postcards for making quick connections with friends and family around the world🌏. These ones promise to be very special🕯. We will consider them addressed to us ‘from Tricia, with love’. 💞

💌Here’s back at you with our love, too,
Louise and David

Dear Tricia,

Listening to "The Grey" again today, the thought came to me that your wisdom could be published in book. You have helped so many people try to remember to live each day to the fullest.

Love Christine

Hey Trish!

I have friends and family that have watched your 21 movie and been gobsmacked by your work & story. In fact, knowing of your project and your description of life as 'putting paint on on others peoples canvases' it inspired the piece I am working on right now. I started it before your show- at first I was going to do the word 'butter' as that story has brought me great comfort and listening to you talking to Ryan about it is a very meaningful memory for me. But then I thought, too morbid? Ha! I then giggled to myself when I saw two pieces in your 21 project dedicated to it! However, by then I had settled on the word 'brushstrokes' reflecting the paint you have put on my canvas and all the paint we put on everyone else's canvases without even knowing or realizing... the colours I have chosen reflect my favourite pieces in your work (so butter has found it's way in there too!). There will also be some pebbles glued to define some lines which represent the ripple effect your life and life work have... like a pebble to calm water. When I am done I will send you an image. If this full time tired girl finally gets around answering the nag of her artist friend to do a show together, I will be sure to show this piece so I can tell your story. You my friend, have continued to outwit, outplay, and outlast cancer in a way that has inspired so many if more so for the honesty and hummanity you've shared in your journey. I humbly bow down.

Sending all my good vibes during these new treatments...
xo,
Amanda & crew

🕯Dear Tricia,

📬Our set of postcards cards arrived in Scotland today.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 We like everything about them🎨 - their handy size, light weight, authentic colours, glossy finish and readable text👌. We have already set up the bundle on a mini-easel📋. That way, we will be able to keep your visuals rotating and reflect on a new thought-for-the-day📆. The postcard versions of your works👩🏻‍🎨 🖊now have a special place in our home🏡 and in our daily lives🎭.

💕Love,
Louise and David
