More Tired Days

I just wanted to say hi and give a quick update.  I've been doing chemo since I last talked to you and I've had a lot of fatigue.  I spend most of my days doing three things:  sleeping, trying to eat and swallowing chemo pills.   I am having a bit of a hard time recalling some words and have very limited time with people.  We've had a couple of visits from close friends & family who came to Calgary to see me.  During those visits, I spent most of the time sleeping and had little bouts of energy for visiting.  I've been spending most of my time at home with my mom helping me do a lot of day to day things and helping me when my visitors arrived.  My evenings are spent with my dad and Lucy watching sports and game shows.  I'm hoping for some more strength in coming weeks but will just have to see how it goes and go from there.

Thanks for all of the love and thoughts sent my way.  Because I'm so tired, I haven't been able to respond as much as I'd like to, so I'm depending more on my mom and Tasha to do that for me.

Back To Chemo

Hello to everyone and belated Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Since my last post I have been on a six week “chemo vacation”, my oncologist supported me in taking this break. On December 20th, I started back on my previous chemo regime which I will continue going forward. My fatigue continues to be my biggest challenge with a few other side effects lingering as well.

I was able to share Christmas with my family ...

and an evening with Tasha’s family as well.

Otherwise the holiday time was “chill” and quiet.

Again I thank everyone for your support and wish you the best for 2019!
