A few days have passed since the last post so I thought
it was time for a quick update to our friend and family supporters. Since
Tricia returned to the ward after her long surgery it has been difficult for
her. Her recovery will require a great deal of strength and courage on her
part. Tonight she is receiving a blood transfusion to replenish that lost in
surgery. The neurology team continues to be pleased with her postoperative
condition and progress which is comforting to hear.
Tasha, Lui, Brandon and I are sharing hospital time these
days with Tricia to provide extra eyes and ears. She has had difficulty getting
the rest that she needs for recovery and healing. Hopefully with the new blood
and needed rest her body have a chance to recover and strengthen.
We continue to be encouraged and moved by the love and
support from so many!

Dear Marie,
Thank you for your generous update on Tricia. Every word you write about her must catch in your throat and tug at your heart.
Though we knew Tricia's surgery would draw on all of her reserves, we had hoped she would be able to rest now and rebuild her strength. Tonight we are thankful for blood donors everywhere and especially for those who provided such concrete reinforcement for our courageous niece.
Tricia herself would be encouraged by the positive neurology reports you are already receiving. Her mind has always been her greatest weapon in her battle against cancer. No matter what, her thinking has been sharp and positive, not only taking her on an amazing journey but allowing us benefit from the wisdom she has so readily shared along the way. That is her gift to us.
Tell Tricia that we are visualizing her complete recovery and that the first picture we see is of her own mind resting easy as her army of supporters does the thinking that restores energy and brings healing.
Courage to you, Lui, Brandon and Tasha at Tricia's bedside! She knows we love her but tell her again, as often as she needs to hear it.

You are a super trooper Tricia! Rest can be a challenge when you need to do it full time. Trust me, I know! Give yourself whatever you need, and lots of deep breaths of course... I wouldn't put it past you if they soon discover your surgery has somehow activated super human intelligence as a side effect.
