Work continues to go well and I am enjoying being able to contribute to the office again.
In early April, I celebrated life with the GGG - the Gunn Girls Getaway, which was a fun-filled trip to Las Vegas with Mom, Colleen, Ellen and Amy (various Gunn girls). We had fantastic accommodations at the Encore and shopped, dined and took in shows over the 3 days, as well as a lot of visiting and laughing. Having just taken my last dose of anti-rejection medicine before leaving, I was even able to enjoy a glass of wine (or two - it was Vegas after all!). The celebration is likely to be repeated annually from now on!
We arrived back in Calgary in time for Easter Sunday and had fun decorating cupcakes with Spring-coloured icing with Jack and Davis (their parents helped eat the icing)...the boys are really getting grown up now and love hanging with Papa as well as watching "Monsters" when they visit. It's hard to imagine they'll be 3 in June.
Health wise things continue to be good. Last week I had a small bump to get over after influenza A gave me high fevers and a cough, but this week I am feeling much better, and the clinic's concoctions seem to be addressing the issue. It seems this new immune system is able to fight infections, so that's good to know.
With the Flames in the playoffs and the hope of no-snow season coming, I am feeling pretty optimistic. I move in to my new condo June 1st, so I am also doing a little planning for that. Overall, life's pretty sweet right now.

Hi Tricia,
Thanks for your latest post. Las Vegas looks like fun. How nice that you Gunn Girls may make it a yearly Getaway.
Keep on enjoying what you're doing. We love to hear about it and continue to cheer!
Happy Spring ( as I look past our 10cm. of snow),

Dear Tricia,
I will start by echoing your closing comment: "Overall, life's pretty sweet right now." Time definitely does fly by when you're having fun. In this, our designated 'year of travel', David and I are definitely having fun.
It is always good to get a blog update from you, Tricia, and this one is no exception. I love ALL of the photos you posted but I'm especially partial to the one of Jack and Davis "hanging with Papa" - their grandfather, your dad and my brother. What a guy!
You sound so well these days. It's too bad that you had to put your new immune system to the test by suffering a bout of the flu. The good news is that it has proven itself able to fight infections. (Brandon will be smiling about that news, too.) We are also relieved to know that the clinic still keeps a close watch on you even as you move into maintenance mode.
We have been following NHL action from afar and we share your disappointment at Chicago's defeat of the Flames. Maybe you can find it in your heart to light a new fire for the Canucks in their series against the Blues?
You sure keep ticking off the accomplishments on your life's list, Tricia. It's great to hear how satisfied you are about being back at work; your June 1st move into a condo of your own is right around the corner now; and we certainly did not miss your comment that the Gunn Girls' Getaway is set to become an annual event. Not only is today sweet but the future holds so much promise, too.
Wherever we travel, we continue to light candles of hope for you, Ryan and Tasha. In fact, that practice has become an important ritual in our connection to you.
Cheers, Tricia! May you keep on gathering strength and celebrating life with friends and family.
Lots of love,
Louise and David
